Keep the Good Vibes Coming

JB had shoulder surgery today.
We knew it was coming, we just didn't know it was as bad as it was.

It seems that he tore his bicep tendon and the rotator cuff was shredded. The surgery took longer than anticipated and now we'll find out how well he does at following orders. 6 weeks in a sling except when doing PT. 6 weeks he can't lift anything! Will I make it 6 weeks without killing him?

(For the record, he's been home for less than 3 hours and he's watching QVC and the game show network already.)

  1. Mine was shredded ATH when they got in there as well. You tell him, from one who knows well (3 shoulder surgeries) he BETTER listen. He will get bored as all heck though. At least he won't miss any of the NCAA tournament.

  3. Glad he made it through the surgery okay...and that QVC watching is dangerous...you know they sell tools and football stuff, right? *LOL* Also, the hard part is going to be week 4, 5 and 6 when JB is feeling better!

  4. I don't envy you. Rob was on disability for four months last year. I was ready to run away from home.

I tore my bicep a few years ago. Didn't need surgery but the therapy was grueling. Prepare for some bad moods during therapy.

  5. I'm so glad the surgery went well for him. I remember when my dad had shoulder surgery - make sure JB does what he's instructed to.

  6. My dearly beloved's shoulder clicks when he rotates it. Wore out something swimming in college. Keep the credit cards and phone away from that man when he's watching QVC, and make Beau and Lucy sit on him if necessary. Good luck to you both. Glad he came through it well.

  11. Yikes! I had shoulder surgery a few years ago, but it wasn't that bad... just a bunch of bone spurs and a hole through my bursa.
Best wishes to BOTH of you during the recovery.
