What is a girl to do?

Blah ~~ Again ?
I don't know what's up with me. I don't really feel like sewing. I'm more in the mood to organize and rearrange the sewing space. I feel like 'my' space has been crowded out by everyone else. We moved everything into the basement, thankfully, when it's hot outside, the basement is much cooler. Of course, because we moved everything to the basement - and I mean everything (treadmill, glider, computer, dog beds, sewing stuff), My sewing space is crowded.
To avoid sewing, I have been knitting. I've been making warshcloths like there is no tomorrow. Don't know what I'm going to do with them, but I'm making them!!
I just talked hubby into going to North Carolina for 10 days at the end of October, I really need to get some sewing done. I have a free evening, it's too hot to walk dogs, and the next set of curtain hardware hasn't been installed so I can't work on the next set of panels - it's all about me and I can't get motivated.

ohhhh, want to do a warshcloth trade? My pattern is not nearly as neat as the M-DK one, but it is a good one!! We could trade a couple...mainly because i am dying over how cute the M-D knitting ones are!!

Gaylen ~ been there, done that, blogged about it! Don't stress it. Your creative genes are recharging and refreshing, when it is time, you will sew again!
ReplyDeleteI agree. It seems to be the doldrums for many of us. Wish it wasn't! I think it's time to move on to thinking of Fall Sewing!
ReplyDeleteIf I could knit, I would probably do that during my sewing slumps. But living in Florida, I don't know what I'd knit even if I could. I'm also stalled in moving into my sewing room because I hurt my back a while ago and now the window of time for painting/carpeting has gone. But since my last sewing spot was a closet, I'm still perfectly happy in my big end of my BR, in front of a bright window with a pretty view. IOW, I'm in no hurry.
