I Did It Again

We went to an estate sale on Saturday.  They had china.

This was an almost complete service for 10 - with serving pieces.
Look how pretty that covered serving dish is.

Inside the coffee cup -a cute little design from the outside.
One saucer was chipped.  That's all.

dinner plate, salad / bread plate, soup bowl, small fingertip / fruit bowl.

And now - it's mine!  All for a song.
Now to find a place to store it.

  1. so pretty! i love those covered serving dishes. they're really nice looking & so nice for things like thanksgiving dinner when you finish some dishes early and need to keep them warmed up.

  2. Sweet!

But it reminds me that I still want a soup tureen. I don't care if it's ceramic or china... I just want one.

Why no, I've never had a fancy soup party, but dang it, I could. We're talking about not having our board meetings catered next year, so I could do a cold soup in July and August, chili, potato, corn chowder, split pea... Yeah. I have more than 10 soup recipes I love....

Oh Gretchie... Mama knows what she wants for Mother's Day!

  3. Pretty!!! Don't ya just love estate sales???

  4. What a party you can have now!

  5. You can store it at my house if you don't have room. Then you'll have to visit your china often.

  6. So pretty! i really love it! That covered serving dish just wants to be filled with stuffing for Thanksgiving! :o)
    well done, G!

  7. Woot! Lovely china, and the SALE just makes it that much better!

  8. so pretty love dishes!! just love them

  9. Your description of these dishes did not do them justice! They are magnificent!!

I appreciate you coming to see me. It may take me a bit to publish your comment - but I will get to them by the end of every day. If you leave a way for me to get back to you, I will. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your opinions. g
