Today - she took a ferry and went on an adventure. I thought it would be a great chance to get some finished object photos of this shawl.
I didn't measure it or take pre-blocking photos, but this sucker grew - a lot. Almost doubled in size.
However, bunched around her neck like this is how she'll most often wear it. Waste of all those beautiful stitches if they aren't going to show.
As happy and beautiful as she looks, what else matters?! The shawl will be well-loved...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That is gorgeous!! I'm once again jealous of your knitting skills. Bah.
ReplyDeleteI love this shawl. The color is fantastic! Just curious, was it easy to knit?

It's really pretty! It's a great color; she needed that splash of sunshine with the grey skies behind her on the ferry.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Chan... nothing is better than a well loved and appreciated hand-knit! :) It looks great bunched around her neck!
ReplyDeleteWow, she's beautiful, and so is that shawl.
ReplyDeleteLovely shawl and the color is perfect fro something called Sun Bird.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shawl! It looks great on her, too.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous, Gaylen. And it looks terrific on your beautiful daughter.

Beautiful ! Daughter AND shawl :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful both the shawl and your Princess, I can't wait for the pattern!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Simply stunning and as long as she wears it, that's all that's important :).
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is lovely but seriously she looks so much like you with just lighter hair! Your daughter is gorgeous just like her mother!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! Cute photos too :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was a way to sign up for test knits on Ravelry. I'll have to look into that as it sounds fun.
PS An Almond Joys ARE a decadent treat...
