These Models are Killing Me!
After knitting the not a sock, I had almost an entire hank of the red/pink malabrigo left. I couldn't leave this pretty yarn laying around neglected - so I quickly cast it on for a scrunchable scarf.
This pattern is a multiple of 3 +2 stitches so I cast on 26, worked until I ran out of yarn.
But the models - well last Saturday I needed to photograph the shawl I had finished and I recruited Beau. He was less than pleased (if you don't believe me, go look at the photo). He charged me in dog biscuits.
Then I went and asked Lucy if she would model the scarf. She said if she had to and there bet be cookies in it. These dogs of mine - they make great models, but they charge exorbitant prices. (For the record, Lucy is lighter than Beau. And when it's dark even I can't tell them apart.)

Dang! I was sure it was Lucy in the shawl, because she's a cool girl, but now that I go back and look, I see that it is Beau. Lucy is a good, cooperative model, and I'm sure she enjoyed her scarf, even if she did charge a goodly price. She knows a "sucker" when she sees one!
ReplyDeleteI get off so very easily! My girls just want praise and snuggles. I hope your tall hounds don't mention to Sissy that she needs to hold out for treats!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteShe's sitting there so nicely, but she does have that expression on her face that says 'you're going to pay for this'.
ReplyDeleteLOL, sounds like your models need more bribes...
ReplyDeletePretty scarf!
Oh! Poor suffering Princess!! I love that pattern...i think i like that a lot better than my current multidirectional.
ReplyDeleteLook at miss Lu... She has the look on her face of " take the damn picture already and get this scarf off of me! I'm hot enough with all this fur! Sheesh!!" heeheehee
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a fun and productive sewing retreat! :)
I agree with "The Princess". LOL Definitely a "I am not amused" look on Lucy's face. Pretty scarf, though!
