Beau was taking up an enitre bed by himself. Although he's a big dog, so not so much of a hog!
Then, if you look at the last photo - poor Lucy is laying on the floor, between the beds and the loveseat. She was chewing on a bone, so don't feel too sorry for her, but still - the floor is hard and cold!
This morning I did a search on both amazon and barnes and noble for a book tht B&N has on display in their window. It's either called My Dog is as Stinky as Smelly Socks or My Dog is as Smelly as Stinky Socks. Obviously this is a childrens book. However, just the title cracks me up. I have never gone looking for it in the store and I couldn't find it on the two websites. But I want this book - badly. JB won't let me get it, because obviously if you've ever had a hound or been around one you know they truly are as stinky as smelly socks!!
Happy DOT!!
It's true!!!! Beau is a lot more likely to 'stink' than either of the goldens.
ReplyDeleteHere's the Amazon link to the book

They look so sweet when they are asleep (or occupied). I have never had a dog that didn't stink. O
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much like kids dogs can be isn't it? Just when you think you have things figured out (3 vs 4 beds) they go and pull a fast one on ya!!
ReplyDeleteLOL, its a rule of thumb or something... no matter what # you pick, its never right with dog beds! Then there's always a Queenie who wants whatever bed anyone else has...
ReplyDeleteOh, i just LOVE Dudley! He is so precious. All your houndies are just wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteOh what a site! Great shots! To think I always had a dog bed, just no doggie that would use them...now Lady does s its nce to have around again.
ReplyDeleteLucy is definitely making the best of a bad situation. Good for you, Lucy!

Little dogs live to stretch out over the entire bed. We've measured Roscoe at almost three full feet in one of his bed-hog stretches but it's our bed he's trying to take over, not a dog bed. I always enjoy photos of sleeping dogs. They're such angels when they're asleep.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Goofy dogs :-) Just when you think you got them figured out they do just opposite of what you think. I wish Abby and Sophia would share a bed more often but Sophia usually hogs the beds even though she's only eight pounds and Abby is 60.
ReplyDeleteSweet photos, and now *I* want that book. So far, Sissy is too clean to stink. She's quite the groomer, and even stops eating to find a piece of kibble that falls from her jowls to the floor... I hope it lasts a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny. Mine would never share a bed. They barely will share our full bed. IF Abby moves too close to jackjack he'll get up and leave. She does move a lot though. :)
