Lisa had a give away to celebrate 8 years of blogging.
and I won!
Those 8 patterns arrived at my house.
Lisa said, you could keep 1, none, or all of them.
I'm keeping this Butterick 5760 Wardrobe pattern.
Love the cardigan and the shirtdress.
We all know I have a problem with shirtdresses.
I'm also keeping this Simplicity 2152.
I think this skirt will be a good one to try with Cynthia Guffy's skirt fitting class.
Plus I think it will actually work well with my body shape.
To the remaining 6 patterns from Lisa - I added a whole bunch of my own.
68 in fact.
I have a bunch of vintage patterns that a work friend gave to me.
I'm never going to make anything with them.
Each group of patterns contains 1 from Lisa.
Some Vintage.
Some current.
There are skirts, pants, tops, wardrobe patterns
Each stack of 12 patterns contains at least 1 large envelope vogue.
No choices.
Rather than have a contest and say you must follow me.
Say you must have an active blog.
I'm going to give one stack of patterns to the first 6 people who comment and say they want one.
The only qualifier - I must be able to contact you somehow
an email or a link back to your blog.
As soon as all 6 are gone - they are gone.
I will ship anywhere.
LOL! I thought you had made a typo when you wrote you added 68 new patterns ~ but you really did. Would love to a peak at one of the stacks of patterns ~ I'm in if there is one left ... J

ReplyDeleteI emailed you - balls in your court now. g
DeleteThose are nice patterns you've chosen to keep for yourself. I think that skirt will look good on you; it appears to have a wide waistband which will work well with your height. Please give the patterns to me only as a last resort, because I wouldn't want to deprive someone else right now. I have your last gift laid out and waiting to be sewn, but it looks like that won't be until after Thanksgiving, or maybe even after Christmas....Dan;s doing some serious work in the playroom, and the mess is neverending! Of course, it will be beautiful when it's done.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good time at the new job, settling in and all that. Is the Princess coming home for Thanksgiving?
I hope you get some sewing time soon. I do think that skirt will work well with me - now to find some sewing time. Thanksgiving weekend will be the annual flannel pants factory - especially since I didn't go to retreat this year. g
DeleteWow! And I thought I was being generous giving away 8 patterns! ;-) You have really upped the Ante here...so cool! Thanks for sharing the love! (I think I'm well past the 6th comment, but I'm not in it for the patterns...)
ReplyDeleteWhat? You don't want some of your patterns back? g
DeleteTeehee! You put some nice patterns in those stacks... ;-)
DeleteThat is a lot of love you are giving! I'm interested, but like some of the other replies, only if you have patterns leftover...
ReplyDeleteYou can find me on my blog too - http://bobbinsbikesandblades.com/wordpress/
Hi Accordion - thanks for stopping by. I'm going to give some of the early entries a chance to contact me and then proceed forward. I'll keep you updated. g
DeleteSo glad you have plenty of interest, but your generosity never ceases to amaze me. Meanwhile, I still have your birthday present - from LAST YEAR! - sitting here waiting to be shipped. :(
