The staff at my vet's office graciously made Lucy's stepping stone for me. It's now snuggled up with Dudley's stepping stone on the front porch. I adore it.
Read how Lucy picked us. I miss you sweet girl.
We are stopping over from HoundGirl's blog. We are so sorry to hear about your sweet Lucy making her journey to the Bridge. We know how tough it is when we loose a fur-kid. We send you {HUGS}. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
P.S..I can't believe I have never seen your blog. We were owned by a bloodhound for 12 years (Tabby). She actually looked a lot like your sweet Lucy same color and everything. We know Lucy will be in good hands with Tabby and Fred at the Bridge. We also have 3 bassets hounds. Nothing like big ol droopy eyes and drool in the house. Sherri
So sorry for your loss, although we did not 'know' Lucy we can see what a special girl she was. You are in out thoughts and prayers Momma Tea & The Kresty Krew
Hello, Kari from Houndgirl asked "us" to stop by. We didn't know your sweet girl but we know how devastating and difficult this time is for you and your family. It will take forever for the sharpness and loss to subside, but it will in time. We think that it's proportional to how much you loved them.
I too understand the pain and sorrow you are going through right now, but I'm thankful that Lucy is running free with her other furbuddies. What a wonderful gift that she passed at home, on her timetable, and you didn't have to make that decision. Sending hugs to you today. Noreen & Hunter
So very, very sorry for your loss (I hope you got my email earlier this week). That stepping stone is beautiful..... what a wonderful thing for your vet's office to do.
What a beautiful old girl! We love the senior hounds in this house. So sorry that she had to leave you but what an amazing gentle way to go. We are sending hugs from my mom and all us beagles.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you family as you suffer the loss of sweet Lucy! My heart aches because I know how much it hurts. I believe that our fur-friends go to heaven and that we will see them when we get there!! Hugs to you all.
Just stopped over from Hound Girls blog. So sorry to hear about your dear Lucy. May you enjoy the special memories you have with her and be peaceful in your life. Gloria
I'm so sorry to hear that Lucy has moved on to the Bridge. I didn't know her but, from her pictures, I can tell she was a lovely girl. She will always live in your heart and she will be waiting for that final reunion. I wish I could say something to make it better but your sadness just goes to show how much you love her and will miss her.
Came over from Marjie and Channons. I understand all too well the loss of a pet and how it's more heartbreaking than the loss of a human friend. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your darling sweet Lucy may she rest in peace at the bridge ... i know there is not words of comfort for you at these moments but known there are so many that are experienced this kind of losses ((HUGS)) Kris
We were over at HoundGirl's blog and read about beautiful Lucy. So very sorry for your loss - losing a furry family member is never easy - I have been there a few times. Right now my sister is contemplating if it is time her 15 y.o. Westie to cross the Bridge. No matter how the loss, it is never easy. Sending you hugs and healing hearts. Mom Kim
