Well - sock knitting apparently was still very important to me in 2011.
That is only a few of the pairs that got finished.
Some have been given away already.
I think the final number was 25.
I knit up 8 of the 12 brown bags that got packaged at the beginning of 2011.
In fact, I just started the snowflake socks last night.
And I haven't pulled and caked yarn for 2012 yet - not sure if I will.
So - what did you knit? Do you knit socks?
Do you wear handknit socks?
What an impressive pile of hand-knit socks.
ReplyDeleteYes, I knit socks for myself and for others. My sock drawer runneth over! Now, I wear only hand-knit socks.
I'm knitting socks again, thanks to you and Lucy and peer pressure. ;) I do love handknit socks and probably only have about 10 pairs. Maybe I can double that this year?
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing handknit socks this winter, thanks to you and Lynn.
ReplyDeleteI knit toys and dog sweaters most in 2011. I don't have any firm plans for 2012, but I do have some ideas floating around my brain. Stay tuned.
What a lovely rainbow of socks!
ReplyDeleteGood job! I adore my hand knit socks and my goal is to only have hand knit socks in my drawer! I may even knit a pair or two for Tom if he's nice to me!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm always knitting socks, no matter what else I am working on. I always have at least one pair on the needles. Two reasons : I love to knit socks and I hate to darn them.
I think I knit 2 or 3 pairs of socks last year. Hoping to do a little more of that this year. 25 is sooo out of my league!
ReplyDeleteMy jaw just hit the floor!!! I can't believe all the socks you knit. That's so impressive. I knit a pair of socks and I think a hat and a couple of shawls geez I feel inadequate - LOL
ReplyDeleteAh, I can't imagine not having handknit socks now ! Got about a dozen pairs or so in the drawer, so lots of choices each week. Your pile is very colorful and so pretty :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely stack of socks, showing off their colours and textures.
ReplyDeleteI do wear my handknitted socks from 2010. For me 2011 was a year of making shawls from sock yarn. First socks followed by first shawls!
My dear Mother so liked the yarn in the shawl I knitted over Xmas and New Years holidays up at their home that I am now making one for her in the same yarn!!!
Wishing you a very happy New Year, I hope 2012 is kind to you,

Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI only finished 2 pairs of socks between baby knitting, shawls, cowls, afghan etc. That being said I'm on the sock wagon again :). Two pair cast on and I'm knitting right along.
Holy pile of socks, batman! I really need to get back to some sock knitting... my feet would love them right about now.
ReplyDeleteMother of all that's Holy.....that's some serious sock knitting!!! Working my way through Clue #2 on the Mystery Socks. No resting rows makes for a very nervous Jessi. lol
