My Boys

This cracked me up!  We are the crazy people who talk for our dogs.  So - a couple of days ago - Beau walked over the couch where JB was sitting.  Then he did something he doesn't normally do - he used his back legs and climbed on up.

The dogs really aren't allowed on the furniture, but it was hysterical.  JB started talking for Beau - The dialog went like this:

Hmmm, so this is what you do all day?  You just sit here and stare up at that big thing on the wall.  Why?  It's not very comfortable you know.  The couch really isn't long enough for me.  How do you fit?  Hey!  Push over, I'll lay down on you instead.  Quick mom - take the photo - look how handsome I am.

I couldn't even tell him to get down, I was laughing too hard and taking photos.  He did the same thing the next night.  The dog - he's turning into a couch potato!!

  2. So, when are you getting that longer couch for Beau? Thor's coming to sit on it with him, since he's not allowed on the furniture, either (his butt backing onto a sofa with the kids notwithstanding)! Love the dialogue; we all translate Thor's expressions for him, too.

  3. Beau darling, come east with Lucy and you can have your own furniture. Just ask Sissy or Mr B; we cater to our dogs on this coast.

Love the photos. He's so regal looking!

  4. You can sit on the sofa here, Beau. We have tow plus a loveseat n the living room, but it's first come, first seated.

  5. Oh my, what a sweetie!

We do that too with our dogs! We have a different voice we use for each too and my DH makes up all kinds of stories for them. Our 10 yr old Dachshund has traveled the world on a motorcycle, he lived in Hawaii, etc. It's cheap entertainment and the kids love it! ;-)

  7. What? You Beau doesn't get to sit on the furniture? We don't get it! Our mom and dad even put special pillows on the sofas (and blankets, too) for us. You better train your people better, and soon!
