This is the Mexican Tablecloth Skirt. There's not a lot left to say about it. I wanted the lining to just barely peak out of the bottom, but I think it's a bit too much and I might need to take a tuck in it. Hard to tell.
This is a bit shorter than I usually make my TNT (although really I think you have to make variations that aren't just different fabric) KS 3337 skirt because the fabric shrunk when I washed it. Bu it's not indecently short and it was comfortable to wear all day.
The guy who works at the coffee shop in my building came out and said I looked absolutely adorable today - so JB must be wrong about it looking like a tablecloth. More sewing to come.
I don't think it looks like a table cloth, but what do I know. Wasn't it nice to get a compliment from a random guy? You must be doing something right!
ReplyDeleteNahhh it doesn't look like a tablecloth at all! And I would definitely agree with the guy who gave you the compliment!
ReplyDeleteI love it! That's no tablecloth and the shirt totally matches. Two strikes...
ReplyDeleteIt has turned out beautifully, and looks so good with that top - both are so flattering. Now, sit back and enjoy your holiday weekend,

Go with what the coffee-shop guy said. Some days I think husbands forget to really look at us!
ReplyDeleteIt is a super-cute skirt and you do look fabulous in it!
I LOVE it!
ReplyDeletedoes not look like a tablecloth. i agree... totally adorable
ReplyDeleteLove it Gaylen...great fabric choice for a skirt and matches the top perfectly! Well done!!!
ReplyDeleteStill definitely not a tablecloth. I love the lining coming down a little further, I think it looks nice. I think it looks intentional and nice, if you shorten it, it may look more accidental and not as nice. I agree with the coffee shop guy, you look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteyou do look adorable!!
ReplyDeletelove this post.
I absolutely LOVE that skirt! Looks great on you!! :)
