What an absolutely wonderful thing for your vet to send! :) A coworker and I got one of those for my boss quite a few year's back when her beloved Sam lost her battle to cancer. They are a wonderful memorial..... (wiping away the tears as I type)
What a great vet and such a nice memento/memorial for the D-Dog. All of our dogs have about 10 nicknames - initial + Dog being one of them! I didn't think you or Dudley would mind. ;-)
From the mom - I love that little stone. A few years ago when I had to help my little Oreo cross the Rainbow Bridge, when I went back to the vet after Oreo was cremated - not only was there the little urn, there was also a small envelope. I don't know why but something told me to not open it until I got in the car. When I did open it there was a little card with a little stone that had Oreo's pawprint with his name. I have had to help other dogs cross the Bridge but none did that - you have a special vet indeed.
I appreciate you coming to see me. It may take me a bit to publish your comment - but I will get to them by the end of every day. If you leave a way for me to get back to you, I will. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your opinions. g
What a sweet vet you have!
ReplyDeleteThat was a wonderful thing for them to send. It's nice that they care about the humans, too.
