(you did it anyway - didn't you?) Yep - Lucy got to lick the second beater. I told you it was scary.

there's a scary photo at the end of this post
Marjie do not scroll down - there's a scary photo at the end of this post. (My apologies to The Monster at the End of this Book - but I couldn't help myself.)
The other day I had a hankering for carrot cake. Because I'm not a big do-it-myselfer, I bought a box of cake mix and a canister of frosting. And then while I was fixing dinner I mixed up the cake. Well there isn't much I do in the kitchen without Lucy, kitchenhound extraordinaire right under my feet. (seriously, marjie, don't scroll down.)
So, after mixing up the cake batter and dumping it into my sheet pan, I popped the beaters out of the mixer (don't do it - don't scroll down) and licked one of them. Lucy kept her eye on me the entire time. Finally, I called JB and asked him to come into the kitchen with the camera. (Marjie, just click away now - there's a seriously scary photo at the end of this post. You don't like scary photos - don't do it - don't scroll down.)

And I laughed as hard as I could! It's OK. I know Lucy was helping out!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I read this at work. Sissy would be SERIOUSLY confused. How is that scary? It looks VERY normal for our house...
ReplyDeleteLOL... I can see that Lucy just loves being your assistant in the kitchen....
ReplyDeleteWe don't have enough beaters to go around. I have to remember whose turn it is each time. Fudge cheats and I'm sure he's had more turns than the others.
ReplyDeleteMom has let us lick the beaters before too, Lucy! Isn't it just so much fun and sooooooooooo yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
I try to let all 3 dogs lick the beaters at the same time...they get to share one, I get the other.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be scary is to see you lick it after Lucy!!LOL Isn't that what the beaters are for is for our four legged babies??:) Happy DOT!!

Mr. Bettis says there's nothing like a good lick from a bowl/beater. He suggests trying "pre-wash" on the dishes in the dishwasher before it's turned on. LOL
ReplyDeleteGotta Love Lucy :)
ReplyDeleteHello there! Lucy looks like she's having fun cleaning out beater! :)
