when i got home from work today the big dogs were in their yard enjoying some sun. beau was laying on "beauregard mountain" and when I first saw him he had his head twisted so far back it looked painful. of course when i came out onto the deck to take a picture, he lifted his head and glared at me. silly boy.
then there's lucy. i have never in all my life seen a dog who sits on her tailbone like she does. frankly it looks uncomfortable to me, but whatever.
she was sitting on her tailbone staring at the side of the house. like a kid who's been put in time out. i don't know what she did wrong, but she was punishing herself. silly girl.

ReplyDeleteThor loves to sit in the sun, and looks at me just like Beau when he's disturbed. The nerve of us! He also sits on his tailbone, just like Lucy, with the tail under him, between his feet, like in your picture. It hurts to look at, doesn't it?

I love those silly pups... When lucy sits like that she makes me think of that blow up thing that has a weight at the bottom of it, that you can punch and it will fall over and spring back up again... although I'm pretty sure if you tried that with lucy she'd just stare at you like you were a freak.
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful - but I agree, Lucy's sit looks like it should hurt ! My Alex loves the sun too and does NOT like to be disturbed. Skippy on the other hand seeks the shade and the cold tiles as often as possible.
