mine!

Here's the lovely apron that Ms. Coffee Yarn sent for me. a couple of things - first how in the world did I let myself get so big? When did that happen? I know many of you would disagree and this isn't really being said to hear "no you look great." It's just an observation on the photo. Second - I often cook dinner in my work clothes. In the process I have ruined many a white t-shirt with tomato sauce and other bubbly things. I haven't had an apron and this one is lovely and will get used. Both JB's and my aprons are right in the kitchen where they can be easily grabbed and donned. I just hope I remember to grab it before the sauce splatters. As you can see - I was wearing jeans under my apron. And is usually the case the dogs had to get into the picture. They really aren't allowed on the deck, mostly because the upper yard isn't fenced and while Beau will listen come back, Lucy is ruled by her nose. she is sniffing the BBQ and Beau is sniffing Coffee Yarn's bassets on the apron. Happy Hump Day - everyone.

  1. I am so glad you like it. I forgot to tell you it is the Church Ladies' Apron pattern.

  2. I like it! Love the color! I wear the tarnation out of the one you sent me; sauce, strawberry and chocolate stains have made their debuts more than once! (And please don't be like my kids and ask just what is tarnation anyway!)

  3. Love the color! Looks great! and what a nice pattern for preventing the stains. Lucy's got the right idea, smelling the tongs. Beau must think you cheated on him. I told you about two timing him with those bassetts! :~}

  4. Lovely apron ! I have one, a plain one. I never think to use it when cooking, til AFTER the splatter. Maybe I need to make a pretty one LOL :-)

  5. Boy, I'm with you. I have ruined so many shirts by cooking without an apron. I have one apron that used to be Rob's before we married. He used it when grilling. I think I must make myself a couple aprons this year. Good practice items on the new machine (which is getting older by the day). Sorry I was so crabby yesterday.

  6. LOVE it! That's beautiful. I need to return to wearing aprons, perhaps to eat in too. I dropped tomato sauce on an old tee last night...

    (And as to question #1 - stress. This too shall pass.)

  7. Looks great! I'm not even allowed in the kitchen (to cook), as we typically have to worry about more than just stained clothes when I'm in there. lol
