A friend decided to knit a copy of the
ever famous shawl that Kate wore for some reason. I don't follow royal fashion, but this was cute and doable and was a way to support a friend as she slogged on through the ruffles that never end. My friend is doing the ruffle all the way around, but I only did it on the triangle point sides.
I started this on July 4th and it was small and manageable to have at the BBQ and kept my hands busy so they weren't shoving food into my face. I finished it on the 16th and it's currently blocking - just a soft blocking this time, no stretching, no pins. I will try and get modeled shots this coming weekend.
So lovely! I'm almost done with repeat #3, finally. Yeah, I know each row takes longer than the last...

ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough, I am making this shawl next! Did you use the Cambridge pattern? I never thought to omit the ruffles on the inside edges like you did. Very cute!
