The Princess is home for a visit.
Every once in a while I still sign up to test knit something lovely through Ravelry. This time, it was a beautiful shawl called Sun Bird.
I still had some of the lime green cashwool left from the last shawl I test knit - which also went to the Princess but she managed to snag that one on a piece of jewelry (most likely) and break one of the fine threads.
Today - she took a ferry and went on an adventure. I thought it would be a great chance to get some finished object photos of this shawl. I didn't measure it or take pre-blocking photos, but this sucker grew - a lot. Almost doubled in size.
However, bunched around her neck like this is how she'll most often wear it. Waste of all those beautiful stitches if they aren't going to show.
As happy and beautiful as she looks, what else matters?! The shawl will be well-loved...

It's really pretty! It's a great color; she needed that splash of sunshine with the grey skies behind her on the ferry.
