Funny May Dogs

Once upon a time, when Henry was a small boy, Jason took him out running - he loved to go running with J then. However, on this particular run, the boys got lost. The ended up running many, many miles that day. J, being a good dog owner, gave Henry all the water he had, but Henry ended up with very sore feet. So, now - they live in the frozen tundra of Northern New York. That means in order for Henry to go on walks he needs to wear shoes to protect his tender feet. Henry's shoes are very cute, but he doesn't like them. He kept trying to pull his foot away when Jess put them on so I could see. They have heavy duty rubber soles, like a person's shoe would. As you can see in the second photo - he was hopping around without putting his feet down. Poor Henry - we all laughed at him.
Have you ever seen a dog sit on her rear end like this? This is Lucy and she always sits rights on her tailbone. It seems to me it would hurt, but apparently not since she keeps doing it.

  1. My Thor sits like Lucy. I am puzzled as to how he could find that comfy. He also likes to aly on his back with all 4 legs sticking up, and his jowls falpping open. The kids call it "full dope appearance".

  2. OMG, Lucy sits like a dude.
yeah, we all kind of suck for laughing at poor Henry! There are strict instructions on the bag to NOT laugh at your dog when they have them on.

  5. Sissy has her moments when she'll sit like that.

Poor Henry. He's lucky to have such attentive owners though!

  6. Sometimes Grover sits like that, too. I love the shoes. I had a dog that had to wear them in winter and he would just glare at me when I put them on his feet.

  7. Beau woudn't laugh at Henry. He gets humiliated in the winter when his tender little paws get cold, we make him wear boots too.

  8. What darling shoes! DH used to put "hunting boots" on our Brittany, D-D, who had problems with all the stickers when they went hunting.

My Lailah sits like Lucy. Not very lady-like I tell her!

    :)

  9. Boy, this seems to be a DoT with the immodest little girls!

I've seen more pups sit like Lucy than I have my dane Payton...his butt doesn't actually touch the ground at all; he's really sitting on his legs with his butt about 1 inch off the ground. It's hard to explain...maybe I should try capturing it for a DoT sometime...
