Muu Muu?

This weekend I worked on the Diane Kimono Dress in a maxi length.  I have made this dress before and wear it often.  But I really wanted a long dress.  It's completely lined and I'll get better photos after I hem it.  After working on it all day ysterday, I came up from the studio with it on and JB said it looked like a Muu Muu.

So - carry on?  or hem it shorter?  Or wait for on person photos?  Thank you.

  1. I've already told you that I can't imagine that it really looks so unflattering. Maxis are supposed to be a relaxed, comfortable look, not a slim, trim evening gown kind of long dress. Does Jaybird get that, I wonder?

  4. Try it on and see how it works. If Jay doesn't like it, chances are you won't wear it, so maybe you should try it long, and then pin it up to see if he'd like it better shorter. It's a pretty fabric, so it has to work one way or the other!

  5. There is nothing wrong with a long, comfortable dress to wear on hot days!

My Mom just finished making me a maternity sun dress, very 'muu-muu' in style. But I don't care; it is so comfy!

  6. ooh, I'm not a good one for this question today - I, oh so hopefully, tried on a bunch of different maxis on Saturday and was extremely disappointed ! Marjie's got a good idea to pin it up to see which you like better.

  7. gMarie? Chan's friend?! I feel as though I know you. :) she says such nice things about you! Nice to meet you and thanks for visiting and commenting.
Now about your maxi....I'd have to see it on to give an honest opinion. Difficult to tell on a hanger.

  9. Don't knock a muu muu. I've had some that were my favorites for around the house or casual weekends. Try it and you'll probably want to live in it.

I like long skirts on skirts or dresses. They're not only comfortable, but they feel much more feminine to me. I love them with either tights or boots.

    Have fun!!

  10. I don't think many men are happy unless they can see a bit of leg. lol At least, that's how mine is. He says the same thing about my longer dresses, but everyone else tells me I look cute. I say wear it with happiness. :)

I appreciate you coming to see me. It may take me a bit to publish your comment - but I will get to them by the end of every day. If you leave a way for me to get back to you, I will. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your opinions. g
