I Did It Again

We went to an estate sale on Saturday.  They had china.

This was an almost complete service for 10 - with serving pieces.
Look how pretty that covered serving dish is.

Inside the coffee cup -a cute little design from the outside.
One saucer was chipped.  That's all.

dinner plate, salad / bread plate, soup bowl, small fingertip / fruit bowl.

And now - it's mine!  All for a song.
Now to find a place to store it.

  2. Sweet!

But it reminds me that I still want a soup tureen. I don't care if it's ceramic or china... I just want one.

Why no, I've never had a fancy soup party, but dang it, I could. We're talking about not having our board meetings catered next year, so I could do a cold soup in July and August, chili, potato, corn chowder, split pea... Yeah. I have more than 10 soup recipes I love....

Oh Gretchie... Mama knows what she wants for Mother's Day!

  5. You can store it at my house if you don't have room. Then you'll have to visit your china often.
